Megan Gabrielle is a model and multimedia artist from Sacramento, California. Her work is mostly comprised of drawings, paintings and photography. Megan’s first opportunity to paint was given to her by her father Thomas Harris, whose paintings covered every wall in their home. Megan was and still is greatly influenced by her father's' work (https://www.paintingsbytharris.com/) and his Escapism style.
The inspiration for her work greatly stems from nature and her immediate surroundings. Florals are frequently present in her work, partially due to the nickname “Flower”, which was given to her by her mother as a child. For Megan, flowers represent natural beauty, resilience and vitality. Another common subject in Megan’s art is women, specifically women of color.
Megan’s goal as an artist is to create beautiful and sublime escapes, not only as a form of self-therapy but also to inspire anyone who views her artwork. Megan received her B.A. in Art History from California State University Sacramento. Megan now lives and works as a model, artist and freelance illustrator in New York City.
